Hundreds of people gathered on May 8 to celebrate the start of Phase One construction on the new Wichita Biomedical Campus, a $300 million, 471,000-square-foot joint health sciences center in the heart of downtown Wichita. The College of Health Professions continues its strategic initiative to provide cutting-edge educational experiences through simulation technology. The College has developed a human simulation laboratory, which includes synthetic models, high fidelity manikins and a microanatomy/microscopy room. The simulation lab is envisioned as a partner to our Gross Anatomy lab, one of only two anatomy labs in the greater Wichita area that use human cadavers and is one of the largest labs of its kind in the state of Kansas.
